Installing Conque as a Terminal Inside MacVim

I am in a researching binge today on how to run a terminal inside vim because of my interest to RubyMotion’s Terminal based workflow.

In my previous post, I taught you how to install the VimShell

In this post, I am going to teach you how to install the Conque

First check if your vim supports python

$ vim --version | grep python
+path_extra -perl +persistent_undo +postscript +printer -profile -python
-python3 +quickfix +reltime -rightleft -ruby +scrollbind +signs +smartindent
$ mvim --version | grep python
+printer +profile +python -python3 +quickfix +reltime +rightleft +ruby

In my case, only MacVim supports python, therefore Conque would only run in my MacVim.

Now to install Conque, it is actually as easy as the following. (I am using pathogen)

$ cd ~/.vim/bundle
$ curl -o
$ unzip conque

It should be working now.

Though English is my country's official language it is not my native tongue. If you find anything wrong with my phrases, or any incorrect information, write it out loud in the comments section. The world will be a bit better that way.
